Dye Sublimation Printing

What is Dye Sublimation Printing?

Dye sublimation is a high-quality printing method that uses heat to transfer dye directly into the fibers of a garment. This process produces vibrant, long-lasting prints that won’t crack, peel, or fade—making it a favorite for performance wear, fishing shirts, and all-over print designs.

When to Use Dye Sublimation

Sublimation is ideal when you want a seamless, full-color design that feels like part of the fabric. It’s best used on white or light-colored 100% polyester garments and is perfect for detailed artwork, bright color palettes, and moisture-wicking apparel.

Best for:

  • Performance Fishing Shirts

  • Custom Team Jerseys

  • Athletic & Event Apparel

  • All-Over Print Designs

  • Company Uniforms (Polyester)

  • Long-Lasting Branded Merch

Benefits of Dye Sublimation

  • Zero Texture: The ink bonds into the fabric—there’s no added layer or raised feel.

  • Vibrant, Fade-Resistant Colors: Prints stay sharp and bold, even after repeated washes.

  • All-Over Coverage: Sublimation allows edge-to-edge designs, not just limited to small print areas.

  • No Cracking or Peeling: Because the dye becomes part of the garment, there’s nothing to lift or flake.

  • Great for Activewear: Ideal for moisture-wicking, breathable fabrics.

Things to Consider

  • Fabric Limitations: Works best on polyester or poly-blend garments—100% cotton is not ALWAYS compatible.

  • Color Restrictions: Works best on white or light-colored garments; cannot print on darks.
